Premier league football clubs, Arsenal and Liverpool, both lost points on the EPL table after failing to win their matches on Sunday.
The Gunners lost 2-0 against Aston Villa at the Emirates, while Liverpool suffered a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace.
Goals from Leon Bailey and Olie Watkins were very crucial to the win for Villa who are looking forward to be in the Champions League Villa.
A win for Arsenal would have taken the Gunners above Manchester City at the top of the table. But the loss for the Gunners and the Reds have automatically distorted their Premier League title race.
Currently, City occupy top spot on 73 points, two points ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool who are second and third respectively.
Courageous Villa, have secured 63 points, maintaining fourth place and are three points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Interestingly, former Arsenal manager Unai Emery is the coach of Aston Villa and has now done the double over his former team.
Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze scored the goal that separated the Reds from his team with a 14th minute strike.
