Adeleke, Babayemi Make Comment On Easter Celebrations

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has made vital comments concerning the Easter celebrations.

Adeleke urged Christians to use the occasion of Easter celebrations to reflect on the essence of the divine sacrifice by Jesus Christ, The Punch reports.

The governor’s Easter message was signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, and obtained in Osogbo on Friday.

He also made commented on unquantifiable power of love, stressing that Easter impressed on humanity the tasking Christian faithfuls to let the valuable lessons of Jesus’s sacrifice reflect on them all the time.

Still dwelling on love and compassion, he charged Christians to hold to the message of love and compassion, which are the basis of the Easter celebration, noting that with love, “we will not only enjoy a peaceful society, but also make the right progress.

“Easter is a classical example of the power of love. Jesus Christ, as we are made to know, gave up himself to save mankind from the consequences of their transgressions.

“Beyond the celebration that comes with the moment, it is also a reminder of how love can save, and why we must imbibe the culture of selfless service to humanity as exemplified by Jesus Christ. Let’s be concerned about the good of each other and show tolerance irrespective of our differences.”

The message from ex governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Mr. Dotun Babayemi, was also a positive one.

In his Easter message, expressed the optimism that a dream of a better Nigeria was achievable if all hands were on deck.

Babayemi further called on Nigerians to continue to allow for a religious harmony as a people bounded by a common destiny of togetherness.

The statement read in parts, “Our people should know for sure and by continuing to believe that the Nigeria of their dream is achievable if we all work towards it. Nobody from anywhere in this world will do this for us except us” he maintained

“In Osun, I urge our people to continue to cohabitate in peace like they have been known to be. Nowhere like home and peace is the only thing that makes any home alluring.”
