Sebastian Broderick: 1985 U-17 Word Cup Winning Coach Passes On

Former Golden Eaglets winning coach at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 1985, Sebastine Brodericks-Imasuen has died after suffering from stroke and diabetes.
Sources revealed that 85-year-old Brodericks-Imasuen had been receiving treatment after he was diagnosed with Ischemic stroke in December 2022 and was on life support at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital before he passed on.

On the ailment, Ischemic stroke occurs when a blood clot blocks or narrows an artery leading to the brain. The blood clot often forms in arteries damaged by the buildup of plaques (atherosclerosis).

Apart from the Chairman of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria Task Force Harrison Jalla, who made public the former coach’s death on WhatsApp post, Golden Eaglets player, Bamidele Oguntuashe, who was trained by the late Brodericks-Imasuen at the 1989 U17 World Cup in Scotland, also stated that the former Nigerian coach has passed on.
