Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, has refuted claims that he has applied for a coaching job at Egyptian club, Zamalek SC.
Peseiro, 63, was listed among the coaches who have submitted their CV’s for the top job, Egypt’s website, Kooora, reports.
This development comes after the website revealed that coaches who submitted their resumes for the top job after the recent sacking of Juan Carlos Osorio for poor results.
Going memory lane, after his initial contract expired in June, the 63-year-old recently signed a new one-year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation.
A club source told Kooora, “Jose Peseiro is among the names already nominated to lead Zamalek. But he does not enjoy any preference. He is just one name among many CVs on the board of directors’ table,”
In his words, “At the present, all my focus is on the Nigerian national team only,” he said.
