2026 World Cup Play-offs: NFF, Chelle to Finalise Players List This Week
Abuja, Nigeria — Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, will meet with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee this week to finalise the squad list and complete preparations ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup African play-off fixtures.
Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semifinal of the playoff on November 13, with the winner set to take on either Cameroon or DR Congo in the decisive final match on November 16.
A top NFF official confirmed that preparations began immediately after Nigeria’s final Group C qualifier against Benin Republic, stressing the federation’s determination to secure the Super Eagles’ qualification for the global tournament.
The Super Eagles are expected to assemble in Morocco on November 9, while an advance delegation from the NFF will arrive earlier to coordinate final logistics and team arrangements.
