Actors Guild of Nigeria Unveils International Festival   

The Actors Guild of Nigeria Media Parley for the International Festival and inauguration of Kitchen cabinet has taken place on Monday, 5, February 2024, at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island Lagos.

The parley started with Actor, Segun Arinze introducing guests and members of the guild.

Special guest of honour, the Founder, Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, who was present at the event also made interesting comments , after the opening speech was made by the president of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON.

The speech made by the president of AGN captured details of the International Festival, in partnership with AGN and the Silverbird Group, which will be held on the 8-10 August, 2024 in Los Angeles, California USA.

According to the AGN president, Emeka Rollas, the essence of the AGN International Festival is to provide a platform for film diplomatic activities, cultural exchange, sustainable creative and marketing collaboration between Nollywood and the international Film Industry and to ensure that the business opportunities in the film industry is uniquely accessed by all as the body intend to improve a broader collaboration between filmmakers and actors to directly and indirectly benefit from the $26billion global film industry.

AGN International Festival with a theme: The Actors Market Place (TAMP) is also a prominent platform to celebrate and showcase the diverse in Nollywood, especially the performers as they aspire to make the festival a powerful force to spotlight and showcase talents to the international producers, directors, studios, casting agencies and raise the awareness of the creative impact of Nollywood to the world.

For the forthcoming event, the guild also inaugurated a national disciplinary committee which was sworn in by the President.

The project management team which constitutes Ifeoma Okeke and Segun Arinze was also inaugurated as they also promised to do their job.

After the inauguration, Segun Arinze went ahead to sensitize the audience on the necessary things to do, stressing that everyone should try to do their best.

The National president also made the appointments of special adviser on sexual harassment, special adviser on special duties, entrepreneurial development, special adviser on youth development, special adviser on child actors and actors welfare, occupational hazards, health and safety, international director national affiliation and brand communications, personal assistant, AGN Website, special adviser, intellectual property, special adviser, planning and strategy and others.
