IMC Lifts Ban On Shooting Stars Media Officer

The ban on Shooting Stars media officer, Tosin Omojola has been lifted by the Interim Management Committee.

After apologising and appealing for forgiveness, the committee disclosed that Omojola was forgiven.

Going memory lane, Omojola in June 2022, was actually banned for one year, as a result of his statements after the Oluyole Warriors matchday 31 against Remo Stars of Ogun in Ibadan.

Last year, supporters of Shooting Stars attacked a journalist, Tobi Adepoju, after their 1-1 draw with Remo Stars FC at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

In reaction to the attack on Adepoju, Omojola, appeared on a radio programme in Ibadan, last year, and reportedly stated that if the journalist had been killed there would have been no repercussions.

In his words, “What if he (Tobi Adepoju) was killed yesterday (June 1, 2022), nothing would happen.”

Meanwhile, IMC noted that the lifting of the ban takes immediate effect.

IMC has cautioned Omojola to imbibe the spirit of professionalism going forward, while he resumes his duties when the Nigeria Premier Football League begins later this month.
