Inter Milan on Tuesday defeated AC Milan 1-0 at the San Siro to secure a place in the Champions League final.
The triumph for Inter started with a two-goal victory in the first leg, as Lautaro Martinez scored the winner.
This development gives Simone Inzaghi’s side the opportunity to meet either Real Madrid or Man City in the next final which takes place next month.
The three-time winners Inter, will be in Istanbul on June 10 in their first final appearance since 2010, when they defeated Bayern Munich to lift the trophy.
Inter’s win at the the San Siro was an interesting one, considering the fact that both teams are rivals as Lautaro Martinez’s goal sealed a 1-0 second-leg.
Last week’s first leg had some memorable highlights as Inter threatened to blow AC Milan away in the opening stages.
Two players, Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, scored the two goals inside the first 11 minutes for Inter Milan. The efforts from both players gave their team the away win.
