Yahaya Ballo Media Office Dismisses Recirculated 2022 Rally Post as Falsehood

YAHAYA BELLO MEDIA OFFICE DISMISSES RECIRCULATED 2022 RALLY POST AS “SENSELESS” FALSEHOOD

The Media Office of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has strongly condemned the circulation of a social media post suggesting a recent political rally in support of a presidential bid. The statement, released on Monday, dismissed the content as a deliberate distortion aimed at misleading the public.

Describing the post as the handiwork of “confused and witless detractors,” the media team clarified that the images and footage in question were from a 2022 event, not a recent or ongoing rally. It said clear date stamps and banners from the original rally were ignored by those allegedly attempting to spark unnecessary controversy.

“This latest slant of reposting a 2022 rally afresh and insinuating that it is just happening connotes nothing but insanity,” the statement read. It warned Nigerians to be wary of “witless bloggers” and what it described as desperate attempts to damage Yahaya Bello’s reputation or create friction between him and President Bola Tinubu.

The statement further emphasized that the former governor has no presidential ambition for 2027 and remains fully committed to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election.

“The indices cannot lie. The President and his team have done exceedingly well for the country, despite global challenges. On merit, he deserves the support of well-meaning Nigerians,” it concluded.
