The Nigeria Customs says militancy and the water  level  are the major factors affecting activities at the Port harcourt Port.
The Zonal Coordinator in charge of Zone C Area Command, Azarema Abdulkadir disclosed this during a chat with correspondent Monica Ogwa in Port Harcourt.
The Assistant Comptroller General of Customs said most importers are scared of bringing cargo through the Rivers Port due to attacks by militants.
Azarema Abdulkadir also told our correspondent that cargo traffic to Nigeria has reduced since January due to the fall in naira.

Meanwhile, the Lagos port is congested with many of the cargoes abandoned on water for several months before they could be cleared.
