Football star, Victor Boniface, has received accolades from Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso after his superb career at the club.
Boniface who has been impressive in the German club, joined Die Werkself from Belgian Pro League outfit Union Saint Gilloise in the summer.
On his feats so far in the German Bundesliga club which a form which took the former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid midfielder by surprise, he has registered 14 goals and seven assists in 21 appearances across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen —
Alonso while speaking at a press conference said, “We could not be certain that the players would perform so well straightaway,”
“With Victor (Boniface), he is still very young, maybe we didn’t expect this so quickly from him.
“But obviously, we are also very pleased that he has made such a good impact as well.”
