Super Eagles stars Samuel Chukwueze and Stanley Nwabali have arrived at the team’s camp in London ahead of the highly anticipated Unity Cup 2025.
Their arrival brings the number of players in camp to 22, with only four players — Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, Chrisantus Uche, and Tolu Arokodare — still being expected, according to team media officer Promise Efoghe.
The Super Eagles are participating in the four-nation tournament, which will see them face top rivals, including West African neighbours Ghana’s Black Stars, who also confirmed their full 23-man squad on Monday.
Ghana’s head coach Otto Addo has named a strong lineup featuring:
Jordan Ayew (Leicester City)
Christopher Bonsu (Genk)
Gideon Mensah (Bordeaux)
Mohammed Salisu (AS Monaco)
Abdul Samed (Sunderland)
Majeed Ashimeru (Anderlecht)
Lawrence Agyekum (Cercle Brugge)
Ebenezer Annan (Red Star Belgrade)
Lawrence Ati-Zigi (St. Gallen)
Ibrahim Sulemana (Atalanta)
The Unity Cup 2025 is designed to promote harmony through sport and features top-tier teams from Africa. It will serve as both a competitive showdown and a preparation ground for upcoming continental qualifiers.
Nigeria’s head coach Finidi George is expected to finalize his starting XI once the full squad is assembled, with training intensifying in London ahead of their first match later this week.
