Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has stressed the importance of having "real winger" Moses Simon and Victor Moses on the team, while also praising young players like Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho for coming through in the country’s team.

Victor Moses tries to get pass through Indomitable Lions of Cameroon's defenders, Sebastien Siani (15) and Yahia Banana (21) during yesterday’ s World Cup qualifying match in Yaounde, Cameroon which ended 1-1. Gernot Rohr revealed these when he discussed his team’s tactics in a television interview.

Rohr explained that he prefers the 4-2-3-1 formation, but he is also flexible to play 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 because if you don’t do so you will be very predictable for opponents to counter you.

In all his favoured formations, Rohr plays with wingers and that explains the importance of Victor Moses and Moses Simon in his Eagles.

"The two Moses are wingers and they are very interesting for our game," he remarked. “They are two real wingers and they are very quick.”

Rohr also said he is delighted with the young players who have come through in all departments of his team. “William Troost Ekong, Shehu, Tyronne  Ebuehi and Ola Aina are doing well in defence,” he said.
