Four people are under quarantine for clinical analysis in Yobe over suspected case of Lassa fever.
And that’s according to the state Commissioner for Health Dr. Bello Kawuwa.
The commissioner said though, earlier results did not indicate the four people have Lassa fever, a second laboratory test would be carried out on them.
Edo state recorded two cases on monday while Lagos also recored two cases.
Meanwhile, 24hours after a press statement confirming two deaths from lassa fever, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH has countered rumours of panic.
In a press conference yesterday, the Chief Medical Director, Prof Chris Bode told journalists that the situation is under control and there is no cause for alarm.
