Game of Thrones is finally back.
While we see the excitment about the appearance of Ed Sheeran in this episode, the complete badassery of Arya Stark's "The North remembers" scene and Lyanna Mormont when she said, "I don't plan on knitting by the fire while men fight for me".
Away from the North or Daenerys Targaryen's new space at the Citadel in the Oldtown, our GoT in house nerd, Samwell Tarly -who has been searching for solutions in the library while doing alot of chores that made us cringe but still got back to his pile of books meets Jorah the Explorer who leaves the dragon Queen to get a cure for his ailment, he's seen asking:
Jorah: Has she come yet?
Jorah: The dragon queen. Daenerys Stoneborn
Sam: Haven't heard anything yet
In the book that Sam snuck out of the restricted part of the Library, we get a brief glimpse and the chapter is about dragonglass and its uses – the opposite page is where Sam gets the epiphany about mining for dragonglass on Dragonstone.
The passage seems to talk about tales of dragonglass being used as a possible cure for illness and disease when it is ingested. It then proceeds to say that while little harm occurs from the ingestion, that you "can't discount the harm to the gullible".
We already know that dragonglass is powerful. The Children used it to stop Benjen from turning into a wight. And it was dragonglass that got us into this mess in the first place, when the Children used it to create the White Walkers.
And who is the ONLY person we know who has successfully halted the effects of greyscale? Princess Shireen. And where did she grow up? You guessed it! giant island made of dragonglass!
