On a pathetic note, a mob on Monday attacked officials of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), who were on rescue mission at the scene of a suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri.
The youths, who attacked the SEMA Emergency Rapid Response Team, dispatched to evacuate corpses and render assistance to blast victims, were said to have been angered by recent spate of suicide bombings in Maiduguri.
Some of them chanted slogans against relief officials, saying quote, “leave, we do not need your assistance.”
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has accused a member of the House of Representatives and a traditional ruler in Rivers State of sponsoring cultists operating in Ozochi Community in Ahoada.
General Officer Commanding 6 Division Port Harcourt, Major General Enobong Udoh, disclosed this during an interactive session between the high command of the Nigerian Army and traditional rulers in Port Harcourt.
