Professor of Political Econpmics, Pat utomi who is also a co-founder of Lagos Business School and Pan Atlantic University has urged groups in the country to find ways to halt Nigeria’s impending anarchy.
Professor Utomi made the call at the meeting of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Alumni Association in Awka.
The professor said that groups and organisations like the alumni could use their wealth of experience and strength to work towards building stronger institutions in the country.
On terrorsim, authorities in North-eastern Nigeria have begun digging a 27 trench around the University of Maiduguri to prevent attacks by Boko Haram insurgents.
The trenches are designed to make it impossible for the insurgents to drive into the university or access the campus on foot.
Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima is financing the trench and has asked the Federal Government for money to fund a permanent barrier.
Meawhile, the Nigerian Army says it is making more progress in the fight against terrorism . It added that the Boko Haram terrorist group is now disintegrated.
Director, Defence Information, Major General John Enenche said the group no longer has a central command, and are not as coordinated as people think.
