To curb energy theft, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has called on the Federal Government to extend its whistle blowing policy to the power sector
Fashola made the appeal at the sixtenth power sector monthly meeting in Enugu.
He said statistics revealed huge energy theft by Nigerian which was a challenge for power distribution companies and also consumers.
According to him consumers will continue to bear the cost of the theft.
Also, the young men Christians Association of Nigeria is also asking the Federal Government to extend as a matter of necessity the whistle blowing policy to the private sector.
