The House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement yesterday, summoned the Minister of Finance,  Kemi Adeosun, over alleged payment of N17 billion for procurement of office equipment.

It also summoned the Auditor-General of the Federation ,  Ahmed Idris, and former Accountant-General of the Federation Jonah Otunla, over the transaction.

The three top government officials are to appear before the committee members on Tuesday.

Meanwhile a bill seeking to establish the South-east Development Commission was rejected.

The bill was earlier stepped down  yesterday, leading to a rowdy session in the house as lawmakers from the south east rejected the decision.
