The Ekiti State Government has inaugurated an eight-man Judicial Commission  of Enquiry to probe financial transactions of the state during the administration of  former Governor, Kayode Fayemi, from 2010 to 2014.

It has 90 days to submit its report.

The commission of enquiry has retired Justice Silas Oyewole as chairman.

He says the assignment is a call for fact-finding, and the panel would use effective justice delivery system to be fair to all.

Meanwhile the former governor, now the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, has described the development as an exercise in futility.
