Governor Henry Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has described former Governor of Delta State James Ibori and the late former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeiseigha as victims of the Niger Delta struggle. 
 
Governor Dickson stated this when he played host to former Governor James Ibori at government house, Yenagoa. 
 
On his part, the former Delta State Governor, James Ibori says his visit to the state is a solemn one stressing that when he got the news of Alamieyesegha's death, he was devastated. 

In another development, residents of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital yesterday, woke up to an early morning bloody clash between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, and its rival group, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria.
 
Anti-riot policemen were deployed to restore normalcy, they were able to disperse the rioting drivers with tear gas.
