Petroleum Tanker Drivers, a branch of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural gas workers has suspended its nation wide strike which began on Monday.
The National President of NUPENG, Igwe Achese announced this following the intervention of the Group Managing Director of the NNPC Maikanti Baru at a meeting in Abuja.
An agreement to increase bridging allowance helped broker the deal.
Narto on its part promised to continue negotiation with the PTD to avoid any future industrial action.  
A meeting has been fixed for April 5, 2017.

Meanwhile the Special Taskforce on Pipeline Vandalism and Illegal Oil Bunkering set up by the Inspector General of Police has paraded two suspected oil thieves in Port-Harcourt. 
The Commander of the Port-Harcourt sector of the IGP Special Taskforce, TY Mahmud while parading the suspects said they were intercepted around the Eleme Axis of the State.
