Chairman of the Peoples' Democratic Party Reconciliation Committee, Governor  Seriake Dickson, says officials of the party at the state and zonal levels elected before the botched May 21 Port-Harcourt convention remain valid.
 
The governor, who spoke in Abuja, at a meeting with members of the party's caretaker committee, explained that his committee was reaching out to all organs of the party to ensure a resolution of the crisis.

Meanwhile member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Olabode George says he will not recognise Ali-Modu Sheriff as the party National Chairman despite Governor Seriake Dickson’s  led committee recommendations to embrace him for reconciliation.

 According to him, Governor Dickson can only suggest as he does not take decisions on behalf of the party or the committee.
