Deputy President of the Senate Ike Ekweremadu has advocated decentralised policing in the country to check crimes and corruption.
Ekweremadu said Nigeria must move policing to the concurrent legislative list.
He said that decentralised policing will make the task of preventing, detecting, investigating and prosecution low level crimes easier.
Meanwhile federal lawmakers from Borno State have called on the Federal Government to boost the efforts of foreign donor agencies in the Northeast.
Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume explained that foreign donor agencies were more committed to tackling humanitarian crises.
