President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will need longer time to rest before resuming for work in Nigeria.
He said this in a four-paragraph statement released to journalists by his media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina on Tuesday, adding that the results of his medical tests suggest he stays longer in the UK to rest.
The president thanks Nigerians for their prayers, saying there is no cause for alarm about his health status.
Buhari left for United Kingdom about a month ago on a medical trip while Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had been acting.
Leaders of the All Progressives Party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu ad Chief Bisi Akande had visited the president. Also President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and Speaker House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara had also paid Buhari a visit.
