The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC says it has recovered almost N9 billion from corrupt persons in its pursuit of the fight against corruption.
The Chairman of the ICPC Ekpo Nta disclosed this while speaking to newsmen at a media parley in Abuja.
Nta says the ICPC is working towards prevention of corruption in both public and private institutions.
Meanwhile the Federal High Court sitting in Kano presided over by Justice Zainab Abubakar yesterday ordered the forfeiture of nearly $10 million from a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Andrew Yakubu to the Federal Government.
The order was sequel to an ex parte application by the EFCC seeking an interim forfeiture of the recovered money to the federal government.
