The Nigerian Air Force, has inaugurated a six-man panel to investigate an airstrike at Rann’s Internally Displaced Persons camp in Borno State.
The panel has two weeks to submit its report.
The panel summoned, the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor; the pilots who launched the air strike, and some air officers at the air component base in Yola, Adamawa State.
In another development, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, in charge of zone five, Abubakar Mohammed says from the available records, Bayelsa State has the lowest crime rate in the zone.
Mohammed, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to Governor Seriake Dickson in government house, Yenagoa.
In his response, Governor Dickson commended the sense of commitment to duty displayed by the officers in the state.
