Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says the Nigeria Police needs the support of all to enable it function effectively.
 
The former president made the call while delivering his goodwill message at the launching of the "Change begins with me" campaign of the Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta, the state capital.
 
The former president emphasised that the nation's dream of eradicating or nipping in the bud criminality from the society would not be realized without the stakeholders' cooperation with the police institution.

In another development, the federal government today arraigned Justice Adeniyi Ademola and his wife, Olabowale, who is the Head of Service of Lagos State before a high court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama.
 
The couple were arraigned on 11 counts including conspiracy to receive gratification and receiving gratification of N30 million from joe Agi and Associates, between March 11 and March 26, 2015.
 
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges when they appeared before the trial judge, Justice Jude Okeke.
 
The federal government has however decided not to oppose the bail applications filed by the defendants.
