Renowned Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana has asked President Muhamadu Buhari to recover Nigeria’s trapped $200 billion and forget the $29.6 billion foreign loan.
He advised that recovered loot should be spent on saving the economy from recession.
According to him, he had written a letter to that effect to the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
Mr. Falana is strongly opposed to the efforts to obtain the loan, stressing that, at the end of the day, only 50 per cent of the amount will arrive Nigeria while generations unborn will suffer the repayment.
He regretted that, the Buhari administration has failed to address capital flight and round tripping by financial institutions.
