Nigerians in diaspora will have to wait for Nigeria’s  electoral act to be amended before they can vote.
This is according to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmud Yakubu.
He said this today when he met with the senate committee  on diaspora and NGOs led by Senator Rose Oko at his office in Abuja.

Earlier, the Senate Committee Chairman of Diaspora and NGOs argued that with Nigerians in the diaspora contributing over $20 billion to the economy and national development, they should not be excluded from the electoral process.
