The Federal Government has resumed Amnesty  payment to the former Niger Delta militants.
This time the Central Bank of Nigeria will be paying them directly.
Piriye Kiyaramo, the amnesty programme’s media officer, made the disclosure on Monday in Abuja, stating that the government will also be paying tuition for the ex-militants.

“the payment also includes tuition for those studying" he said. There are about 30, 000 ex-militants that will benefit from this, with each of them collecting N65, 000.

For about two years the payment was stopped, leading to the recent bombing of oil facilities in the Niger Delta region.
