President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to  Nigerians to ignore attempts by some people to disparage  ministers and other senior government officials.

President Buhari says accusations of corruption have not been  linked to any concrete evidence.

He was reacting to reports, by some online media,  that the immediate past group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and a Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, is being investigated over crude oil swap deals and gas liftings during his tenure

President Buhari, appealed for constructive comments, particularly when it has to do with the integrity of those who are serving the country.

The president has been criticised for shileding members of his cabinet from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Some officials currently serving in his administration such as Chief of Army Staff, Gen.Turkur Buratai, the Minister of Interior, Dambazau have been alleged to have been involved in one scandal or another.

But for the president, none of his minister is corrupt, as he asked anybody who has concrete evidence against them to produce it.
