The embattled spokesperson of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, has  said that he is ready to return the N400 million received from the office of the National Security Adviser during the Jonathan’s administration.

That’s according to a statement by his lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN). Metuh is being tried for allegedly receiving N400 million, a part of funds meant for the purchase of arms to fight Boko Haram.

According to Mr. Metuh, a process of dialogue has been on ground at getting his neck off the anti-graft noose.

In a statement issued by Metuh's lawyer, there have been talks with the Ministry of Justice, the EFCC and other necessary bodies on how to refund the money and resolve the issue.

He said that Metuh had spoken to friends, associates and family members to assist him in raising the funds, which will be refunded to the government.
