President of the Senate Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu have been granted bail by an Abuja High Court over charges of forgery of the senate standing rules.
Presiding Judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu, asked the leadership of the senate to produce two sureties, who must be Nigerians and land owners in Abuja.
Commencement of trail has been fixed for July 11.

Menawhile a member, House of Representatives, Yusuf Tajudeen has said that executive interference in legislative business will in no way promote democracy in Nigeria's federal system of government. 
Tajudeen expressed these views in an exclusive interview with stv news.
His comment is coming days after the national assembly said the senate standing rules was an internal affair.
