The three-week-old strike embarked upon by the National Association of Resident Doctors has been shelved.
This follows the intervention of the Speaker of the  House of Representatives  Yakubu Dogara and other stakeholders.

This was disclosed by the President of the association, Dr Mohammad Askira, adding that the action was taken after the association’s National Executive Council meeting held on Friday.

There is however curious silence on the jobs of the resident doctors based on the Federal Government's earlier directive that all striking doctors should be replaced.
