Nigeria is currently ranked fourth among the 22 high tuberculosis burdened countries in the world.. The prevalence for all forms of tuberculosis is now 330 persons out of every 1000 persons.

About 100, 000 cases are detected while an estimated 600, 000 persons are infected yearly.
