The proposed industrial action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has been stopped by the National Industrial Court.

The President of the court, Babatunde Adejumo, gave the order on Tuesday.
Adejumo, while ruling on an exparte application filed by Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami, ordered parties to maintain the status quo until the hearing and determination of the exparte motion.

He also directed the government to dialogue with the NLC towards an amicable resolution of their dispute.
