South-West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has endorsed the National Executive Committee's proposal to zone the National Chairmanship to the north ahead of the party's convention in Port-Harcourt.
This formed part of the resolutions at the end of the zonal executive meeting held in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State.
The National Vice-Chairman, south-west, Makanjuola Ogundipe who presided over the meeting said the chapter would support the incumbent national chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff if he indicates interest to continue in office.
He described as null and void similar meetings reportedly held in two other locations in the southwest.
