The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has asked the Court of Appeal to grant him accelerated hearing on his application.

His application is asking the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal to disqualify himself from further participating in his trial.

The President of the Senate had accused the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Yakubu Umar, of bias, insisting that he cannot get justice under his chairmanship.

Bukola Saraki however withdrew another motion seeking a stay of proceeding pending the ruling of the appellate court.
