Lagos State Government has given appointment letters to 1, 200 newly employed teachers as it urged them to give their best improve the quality of education in the state.
The Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education, Dr Oluremi Sopeyin who spoke on behalf of the state governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode told the teachers that the government had approved their employment in order to boost the capacity in the state's primary education system.
“Now you are to pick up your appointment letters, the service has a system which will definitely reward you for hard work, dedication and honesty,” he said.
Before the teachers were employed, the successful candidates were tested based on international standard.
He SUBEB Chairman therefore advised the teachers, who had earlier been sent SMS messages, to collect their letters of employment at the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board.
