It rained heavily on Victoria Island Lagos on Monday, despite the prediction of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) of dust haze weather conditions over the central states of the country.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Sunday in Abuja.
It added that there would be localized visibility of about 2000m with night time temperatures of 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted that southern cities would experience hazy conditions in good visibility during the forecast period, with night time temperature of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted that northern states would experience dust haze conditions in visibility of two to three kilometres and less than or equal to 1000m with night time temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees Celsius.
However, all the predictions were wrong as it rained heavily.
