There has been jubilation in Benue South Senatorial District, since the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Senator David Mark as the winner of a re-run election in the area.
Declaring the results, Professor Ishaku Enigi of INEC said that the former Senate President, David Mark, is the winner of the February 20 Benue South Senatorial District Re-run election.
Mark who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party polled a total of 84, 192 votes while his main challenger, Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Party polled 71, 621 votes. Mark won in five local government areas while Onjeh won in four.
The result was declared by Prof.Ishaku Enigi.
