Former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Haliru Bello appeared before Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday in wheelchair on four counts of money laundering.

Bello and his son Abbah Mohammed were alleged to have collected about N300 million meant for arms purchase from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki and diverted it to political campaign for former president Goodluck Jonathan.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had charged Bello, who is also a former Minister of Defence, and his son, along with their firm, Bam Properties.
However, the suspects plead not guilty to all the four counts.
