Boko Haram insurgents have taken their terror to Lake Chad as they bombed the country this afternoon, killing about 40 people.
The extremists gained access to the Nigeria neighbouring country through the Chadian city on the shores of Lake Chad, according to a security source.
In the incident in which scores of people were seriously injured, the insurgents bombed the Chadian fish market at Baga Sola and two refugee camps on the outskirts of the city.
Chad is one of the five neighbouring countries that had signed pact with Nigeria to wage war against Boko Haram.
Since the pact was signed, Nigerian citizens in Chad had been lamenting the kind of persecution they face in Chad.
