Olympics medallist, Falilat Ogunkoya, has praised the track athletes that represented Nigeria at the just-concluded Brazzaville 2015 All Africa Games, saying they could win medals at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

She added that Nigeria would win medals at the Rio 2016 Olympics if the athletes prepare in the same way, with the camping starting much earlier.

The former 400m specialist commended the junior athletes, who represented Nigeria at the 2015 Games, especially Oluwatobiloba Amusan, who won gold in the women’s 100m hurdles, Kelechi Nwanaga, who won gold in the women’s javelin throw, and Divine Oduduru, who won silver in the men’s 200m.

She said the junior athletes, who competed with senior athletes and did well, should be encouraged.
