As part of its anti terrorism operations, troops of the Nigerian military arrested a Boko Haram fuel supplier, identified as Mai Mustapha, and one Mr. Madu, who coordinates procurement of food for the terror sect.

Acting director, army public relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement that the fuel supplier and food coordinator were arrested by troops at Jehu near Jakana.

However, Boko Haram Islamists  shot dead at least nine people and set homes on fire in a raid on two villages in conflict-hit northeastern Nigeria.

Fleeing residents told AFP that the gunmen came on motorcycles and opened fire on Tadagara village after residents had retired for the day and killed nine locals.
