The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of officers, especially members of the inspectorate and rank and file.
According to Emmanuel Ojukwu, Force Public Relations Officer, the IGP gave this assurance while inaugurating the Board of Directors of Nigeria Police Force Property Development and Construction Company, which took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Ojukwu said the IGP tasked the board to ensure that the delivery of standardized housing scheme of not more than N4 Million for inspectors and members of rank and file across the nation is achieved in the next six months.

He warned that corrupt officers will not benefit from the welfare package.
He also confirmed that 36 000 members of the rank and file of the Force were proceeding on promotion course with effect from next Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector –General (DIG) in charge of Department of Logistics and Supply, Maman Tsafe, heads the board.
