Kano State Immunisation Officer, Dr Sharif Kura, on Wednesday said about four million dosages of vaccines had been received from the Federal Government ahead of June polio immunisation.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the state Ministry of Health, Malam Isma’il Gwammaja.

The ministry disclosed that the exercise would commence on June 6, adding that training of ad hoc staff to conduct the exercise in all 44 local government areas of the state had already began.

In an interview with media personnel, the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Health, Alhaji Dahiru Musa said that all was being set for a successful exercise.

Musa tasked all stakeholders to continue to support the state government in order to achieve the target.

Musa also commended parents for their support of the exercise over the years, urging them to continue to comply with routine immunisation for their children.
