The Nigerian Navy has taken delivery of a new warship to tackle maritime-related crimes.
The warship named Okpabana, was donated by the US Government, but the Nigerian Navy spent $8.5 million  to refurbish it.
The Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin who received the vessel in Lagos said it is the first Nigerian warship to have a Regional Maritime Awareness Capacity system on board.
