Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano has presented a budget of over N164bn to the state house of assembly for the 2015 fiscal year.
The budget titled budget for wealth creation and social cohesion presents a marginal increase of 3.17% from last year’s budget of N159.91bn.
Presenting the document to members of the assembly in Awka, the governor appealed for their support in order to achieve success in implementing the strategic initiatives contained in his blueprint.
Speaker of the house, Chinwe Nwaebili and other law makers assured the governor of the quick passage of the bill and full support for his government.
They stressed the need for improvement in other sectors to improve the state.
This budget is expected to cover the welfare of the civil servant, enhance health and education institutions.
